Compost Away — Nationwide (Courier Collection)

Offering a nationwide courier collection service for businesses using certified compostable packaging, Compost Away is ideal for organisations generating smaller volumes of material or located in areas without commercial organics collection infrastructure. There are no monthly subscriptions, fixed contracts or minimum collection volumes. Collected packaging is sorted before being sent to a commercial composting facility for processing.

Green Gorilla™ — Auckland

Kiwi-owned, Green Gorilla provides commercial organics collection services across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Organic waste, including approved certified compostable packaging, is processed at its purpose-built composting facility in Tuakau and transformed into nutrient-rich compost for agricultural use. Casual and contracted collection services are available. Bin sizes: 80L, 120L, 240L and 660L.

Reclaim — Auckland

Within Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Reclaim operates two dedicated organics collection programmes: Food Waste Recycling and Paper Towels and Compostables. Approved certified compostable packaging, paper towels and food waste are accepted, depending on the collection service. Collection options are available for businesses of varying sizes. Bin sizes: 80L, 120L, 240L and 660L.

Rubbish Direct — Auckland and Hamilton

Providing commercial food waste collection services across Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, food waste and certified compostable packaging are sent to Ecogas, an anaerobic digestion facility that converts organic material into renewable biogas. Waste audits, reporting and operational plans to support Green Star accreditation are also available. Bin sizes: 60L and 240L.

EnviroNZ — Auckland, Christchurch, Nelson, Palmerston North, Wellington

A Toitū carbonreduce certified organisation, EnviroNZ provides commercial organics collection services for businesses, accepting food scraps and certified compostable packaging. EnviroNZ also offers waste audits to help businesses improve resource recovery. Bin sizes: 120L, 240L, 660L and 1100L. Collection availability varies by location.

JJ's Waste & Recycling — Wellington

Serving the majority of Wellington, JJ's Waste & Recycling provides commercial organics collection services for food scraps including certified compostable packaging. Through partnerships with specialist processors, collected organics are recovered through composting and renewable energy generation. Available bin sizes: 120L and 240L
